Elite Zexer's hit film 'Sand Storm' coming to New York's Film Forum on Sept. 28

Elite Zexer's 'Sand Storm' is now scheduled to open in New York City on Sept. 28 at Film Forum and Los Angeles on Oct. 7 at the Royal. During the fall it will expand dates. "Sand Storm" had its North American premiere at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival, which it won the World Cinema Jury Prize: Dramatic award.
It also won the New Directors competition at the Seattle International Film Festival and was shown at the Panorama section at the 66th Berlin International Film Festival.
"Sand Storm" is Israel's official submission to the 2017 Academy Awards and for Israel's Academy Awards, "Sand Storm" won six OPHIR Awards. It won for Best Film, Best Director (Elite Zexer), Best Supporting Actress (Ruba Blal-Asfour), Best Casting, Best Production Design, and Best Makeup.
