Mysteries (and comedies) take over TV5MONDE USA in October

TV5MONDE USA's October schedule is a mysterious one. The TV channel is offering several mysteries for the month of October. The first highlight from their schedule is "The Trial." Many know Anthony Perkins for his role in "Psycho," but "The Trial" is one of his best too! This 1962 film is based on Franz Kafka's iconic book of the same name. The great Orson Welles directed this version too. It'll be airing on Oct. 4 at 8:30 p.m. EST.
The next highlight is a drama called "Queen to Play." It's about Helene, a poor chambermaid who is looking for new ways to revive her relationship. Her idea is to teach herself the game of chess. Her idea is that it will help her meet new people and repair her relationships with her husband and family. "Queen to Play" will be airing on Oct. 6 at 8:30 p.m. EST.
Back to mysteries with "Two Little Girls in Blue." Based on the book by Mary Clark Higgins, it's about fate of two six-month old twin girls that are mysteriously kidnapped and held for a multi-million dollar ransom. As their parents scramble to gather all of the money for the kidnappers, one of the infant’s health begins to decline. It will be airing on Oct. 7 at 8:30 p.m. EST.
Next up is the 1995 comedy, "Happiness in the Field." The Cesar award-winning comedy is about a supervisor of a small plumbing supply company. He has to deal with tax collectors, his nagging wife, and bad employees. Well one day it all changes and his luck changes for once. Michel Serrault stars in "Happiness in the Field." It's scheduled to air on Oct. 13 at 8:30 p.m. EST.
For those who are looking for some classic crime will enjoy the next highlight, which is "Back to the Wall." This 1957 thriller stars the great Jeanne Moreau! It's about the rocky relationship of a power couple and how revenge takes over. It will be airing on Oct. 18 at 8:30 p.m. EST
Sophie Marceau fans will be interested to know that her film "With Love..from the Age of Reason" will be airing on Oct. 20 at 8:30 p.m. EST.
The last two highlights are "Back to Hochelaga" and "Chouchou." "Back to Hochelaga" is a historical documentary about the rise of the "Quebecker." It'll be airing on Oct. 26 at 3:45 p.m. EST. The comedy "Chouchou" will be airing on Oct. 27 at 8:30 p.m. EST.
