"The Space Between Us" is about the first mission to colonize Mars and one of the astronauts is pregnat. Shortly after landing, she dies from complications while giving birth to the first human born on the red planet. That begins the story of Gardner Elliot. He's a highly intelligent boy who reaches the age of 16 only having met 14 people in his whole life.
So while searching for clues about his father and about Earth, he starts an online friendship with a girl from Colorado named Tulsa. Well he finally gets to go to Earth and meet her, though the scientists discover that his organs can't withstand Earth's atmosphere. That doesn't stop him and Tulsa on trying to unravel the mysteries of his life.
The stars of this sci-fi drama are Gary Oldman, Asa Butterfield, Carla Gugino, and Britt Roberston. The director of the project is Peter Chelsom.
The release date is Dec. 18, 2016.
