Old and new fans will love this sequel to "The Blair Witch Project."  This September horror movie is a must see!

"The Blair Witch Project," a name of a movie that brought fear and lies to many people. When saying lies, because people from all around believed that it was real. Can't blame them, the acting and how it was filmed felt like a disturbing home movie. It's still one of the best found footage movies out there. It's the best 'Movie Urban Legend' out there too. That also goes with its recent sequel, "Blair Witch."

There was a sequel made a year after in 2000 called "Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2." But now, "Blair Witch" takes the place. The sequel is about a group that venture into the Black Hills Forest in Maryland to uncover the mystery. It's a personal journey because James (one of the college students) was the brother to Heather.

Like "Blair Witch Project," it's filmed like a found footage movie and it's just as creepy. Actually it has even creepier parts than the 1999 movie does, which is hard to beat. Just the start of it will make you jump out of your seat. It also doesn't take very long for our characters to go out in the woods and find out that it was a BIG mistake.

What is nice is that for those who maybe forgot the lore about "The Blair Witch," can get a refresher and feel like it wasn't since 2000 when they last heard of the curse (that is if they did watch "Book of Shadows"). It also makes for those too young to remember (or not even born yet) to have their own Blair Witch movie.Though it's recommended to see the first one because it's just that good!

"The Blair Witch" is not for the faint heart, which is a good thing. It provides plenty of scares and really most of it is because of the sound and atmosphere. The film equipment even makes terrifying noises. So while it takes the old tricks, this sequel does have its new ways to frighten Blair Witch fans.

So what about the cast? James Allen McCune, Callie Hernandez, Brandon Scott, Corbin Reid, Wes Robinson, and Valorie Curry are the cast that must go into the woods. Each one gave a top-notch performance especially Callie Hernandez. She does a scene in the movie that will make anyone who is claustrophobic have a severe panic attack. It's very unnerving, won't lie even looked away for a few seconds.

Though speaking of claustrophobia, being trapped in the woods is frightening alone, then you add a witch, legends, and weird stick things hanging around, it just is terrifying. Nope this movie (and the others) doesn't rely on a killer like Jason Voorhees stalking you in the woods.  Something far more sinister.

With this chill in the air and pumpkins everywhere, this September chiller is perfect for autumn. Halloween came early for horror fans.  It's a claustrophobic, loud, and freaky movie that won't let you leave or look away until it's finished. You know just like our characters are trapped, you too get trapped. Remember to bring a compass!
