Baking judge Mary Berry has left "The Great British Bake Off!"  This news is according to the Sept. 22 report from BBC News. She joins Sue Perkins and Mel Giedroyc, who announced before that they weren't coming back to the show. This is out of loyalty to the BBC, since they lost the rights to the popular baking competition.

See the "The Great British Bake Off" is moving away from the BBC to Channel 4. So instead of next season being on BBC One, it will be on Channel 4. The reasoning behind that is because Love Productions got a higher offer from them. So Love Productions had signed a three-year deal with the station.

Berry had been a judge since 2010, which was the start of the show. She and Paul Hollywood were both judges on the show. The Guardian did report today that Paul Hollywood is staying with the show and has signed up for three more years. So Paul will be staying with the show.

Currently the seventh season is going on, which the first episode was watched by an average of 10.4 million viewers. So it'll be interesting to see who takes Berry's place and if they show's popularity stays the same.
