HBO Acquires Rights To Jenifer McShane's Documentary "Ernie & Joe"

HBO has just announced that HBO Documentary Films has acquired the North American TV and streaming rights of Jenifer McShane's documentary, Ernie & Joe.
The documentary follows San Antonio, Texas police officers Ernie Stevens and Joe Smarro, who are diverting people from jail and into mental health treatment.
At the SXSW Film Festival, Ernie & Joe received Special Jury Recognition and the Grand Jury Prize for Documentary Feature at this year's Independent Film Festival Boston.
The deal for Ernie & Joe was negotiated with HBO by Submarine.
