Film Review: Wrath Of Man (2021)

Action junkies will rejoice to see the return of Guy Ritchie and Jason Statham back together.

Director Guy Ritchie and Action Star Jason Statham are back together with "Wrath Of Man." It's a reunion that you might not have thought you needed, but you did.

Statham plays a mysterious new security guard for a cash truck, whose name is simply H. His skills during a heist surprise his co-workers and make them wonder where did this guy come from? In reality, his real motive is to settle a score.

It's interesting to note that the film is based on the 2004 film “Le Convoyeur."

It's safe to say that Statham is in his element as H. It's a character he has played several times over, but still a treat. He's just perfect as the mysterious kickass type character.

"Wrath Of Man" also stars Holt McCallany, Jeffrey Donovan, Josh Hartnett, Laz Alonzo, Raúl Castillo, Deobia Oparei, Eddie Marsan, and Scott Eastwood.

The film is a shocking ride that is nearly perfect. It's visceral and in your face, but you won't want to turn away either. Those who are aware of Ritchie's other crime films like "Snatch," "Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels," or even "Revolver," won't be as surprised with how wild and brutal it gets.

Overall, "Wrath of Man" doesn't add anything new to the crime/revenge genre, but it's still an entertaining film. It's a good piece of escapism.
