'Ballers' returns for new season on Aug. 12

"Ballers" the hit comedy with Dwayne Johnson is coming back on Aug. 12 according to the July 18 press release from HBO. The series will return for its nine-episode fourth season at 10 p.m. EST exclusively on HBO.
"Ballers" was created by Stephen Levinson and explores the glamorous, often cutthroat, world of pro football through a group of past and present players striving to stay in the game. Dwayne Johnson stars as ex-superstar Spencer Strasmore, who has reinvented himself as a financial manager for today's players.
Returning regular cast members include John David Washington, Rob Corddry, Omar Benson Miller, Donovan Carter, Troy Garity, London Brown, and Brittany S. Hall. Returning guest stars include Carl McDowell, Jazmyn Simon, Robert Wisdom, Richard Schiff, and Steven Weber.
New guest stars for season four include Russell Brand, Joy Bryant, Ernie Hudson and Grace Zabriskie.
The series is also available on HBO NOW, HBO GO, HBO On Demand and partners’ streaming portals.
