'Brooklyn Nine-Nine's' Chelsea Peretti to star in comedy 'Spinster'

SEA GREEN PICTURES INC announced today (June 5) that stand-up comedian, actress, and writer Chelsea Peretti is set to star as the lead of the comedy feature, "Spinster."
In addition to five seasons of "Brooklyn Nine-Nine," Peretti has appeared in HBO's farewell season of "Girls," Fox's "New Girl," FX's "Louie," and Comedy Central's "Kroll Show," "Drunk History," "Another Period," and "Sarah Silverman Program." She also recently played a stand-out role in "Game Night" and completed shooting, "Friendsgiving."
Emmy-nominated and award-winning director Andrea Dorfman will be directing "Spinster." Jennifer Deyell wrote the screenplay and it's about Gaby, a woman who after being unceremoniously dumped on her 39th birthday, faces her fear of becoming a pathetic, lonely spinster.
The producers include Marc Tetreault from Shut Up & Colour Pictures, William Woods from Woods Entertainment, Jay Dahl from Black Dog Films, and Bill Niven from Idlewild Films.
"Spinster" is financed in part of Telefilm Canada and Nova Scotia Business Inc.
