'Wonder Woman' and 'Monster' filmmaker Patty Jenkins to receive the 2018 Women in Motion Award

It was announced today (May 4) that Patty Jenkins will be receiving the 2018 Women in Motion Award at the 4th Cannes Editon of Women in Motion. The event will be taking place at the official Women in Motion dinner on May 13.
She will be receiving her award from François-Henri Pinault, President & CEO of Kering, Pierre Lescure, President of the Festival de Cannes, and Thierry Frémaux, General Delegate of the Festival de Cannes.
Patty Jenkins has directed "Wonder Woman," ("Wonder Woman" was the highest grossing film of the summer, 3rd highest of the year, and broke the record for Biggest Grossing Live-Action Film Directed by a Woman in the US and worldwide), her debut Oscar-winning feature "Monster" and she has helmed the pilot and finale episode of AMC’s "The Killing."
She recently has signed on to direct the "Wonder Woman" sequel, which is currently in pre-production and she has wrapped production on her TNT, six-episode, limited drama "One Day She'll Dark." She is both the director and executive producer of the series.
