Filming has started on season six of CINEMAX's action series 'Strike Back'

It was announced today (May 31) that filming has begun on the ten-episode sixth season of CINEMAX's action series "Strike Back." The show will be shot entirely in Malaysia. Returning to the series is Warren Brown, Daniel MacPherson, and Alin Sumarwata. New cast members are Jamie Bamber and Yasemin Allen.

This new season marks CINEMAX's sixth and UK co-producer Sky's seventh in the "Strike Back" franchise. It was in 2013 when CINEMAX aired Sky's first season of the series as "Strike Back: Origins." 

This new season is about when Russian bomber crashes in the South China Sea, the covert special-ops soldiers of Section 20 are sent on a mission to investigate. There, they cross paths with Katrina Zarkova, a rogue Russian operative with questionable loyalties.

"Strick Back" is a CINEMAX Presentation in association with Sky; a Left Bank Pictures Production. Cameron Roach is executive producer for Sky. Andy Harries, Sharon Hughff, Jack Lothian and Richard Burrell are executive producers for Left Bank Pictures.
