CONFIRMED: The 25th James Bond movie will be directed by Danny Boyle

It's finally official, Danny Boyle will be directing the next James Bond film. The news was announced today (May 25) on 007.com. Daniel Craig will be back as Bond too, which will be his 5th time. Production is set to begin on Dec. 3, 2018, at Pinewood Studios.

Boyle will be directing from an original screenplay by John Hodge. MGM will be releasing the film theatrically in the US on Nov. 8, 2019, through its new joint venture for domestic theatrical distribution with Annapurna Pictures.

Universal Pictures will release internationally with the traditional earlier release in the UK on Oct. 25, 2019.

The last time a James Bond movie was released was in 2015 with "Spectre."
