Trio Entertainment's first feature film "A Killing Kind" is adapted from author Chris Loken's highly acclaimed novel "The Boy Next Door."  It unfolds as a riveting suspense story; part compelling police procedural, part haunting portrait of the mind of a serial killer. Inspired by true events, the story begins in 1979 on a chilling New Years Eve in midwest America.

Trio plans to start principal photography beginning late fall/early winter 2018 in Waupaca County, Wisconsin and Canada. Kristanna Loken and Nik Palchikoff are set to produce and negotiations are currently underway with cast and crew. "A Killing Kind" is expected to be released in the Spring of 2020.

Trio also plans to become a market leading independent Film Studio, distributor, and full-service production company. The studio is currently in various stages of development on a handful of other projects, and more announcements are expected to be released soon.

Kristanna Loken, of "Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines" and the Showtime hit "The L Word" fame is the CEO of Trio Entertainment and the CCO is Jimmy Palmiotti, a multi-award-winning character creator for Marvel and Warner Bros.

Trio Entertainment was founded in 2017.
