The HBO Films presentation "Fahrenheit 451" debuts exclusively on HBO on May 19 at 8 p.m. EST. The drama is based on Ray Bradbury's classic novel of the same name. It's about a grim future where the media is an opiate, history is rewritten and "firemen" burn books.

Michael B. Jordan portrays Montag, a young fireman who forsakes his world and struggles to regain his humanity as he battles his mentor fire captain Beatty, played by Michael Shannon. Sofia Boutella stars as Clarisse, an informant who is caught between the competing interests of Montag and Beatty.

"Fahrenheit 451" is an HBO Films presentation of a Noruz Films, Brace Cove and Outlier Society production. It's directed by Ramin Bahrani and written by Bahrani and Amir Naderi. The executive producers are Bahrani, Sarah Green, Michael B. Jordan, Alan Gasmer, and Peter Jaysen. David Coatsworth is the producer of the project.
