'Wonder Woman 2' release date announced for 2019

It's official "Wonder Woman 2" has a release date! According to Variety, the release date is Dec. 13, 2019, and it was announced by the studio earlier this evening. Variety also announced that the sequel won't take place during World War I, but is still likely to be set in the past.

"Wonder Woman" has been a hit for Warner Bros. with making $389 million in domestic grosses and from the international markets it made $390 million. It was first released on June 2, 2017.

It also has been a huge hit with fans and critics too. Gal Gadot's performance as Wonder Woman was beyond top-notch and Patty Jenkins directed one of the best DC films in a very long time. So it will be pretty exciting to see what happens in the next installment.
