New York Latino Film Festival is returning to the Big Apple in October

The New York Latino Film Festival is returning to New York and will be presented by HBO. The founder Calixto Chinchilla announced today (June 26) that submissions for the 13th NYLFF are now being accepted through Aug. 4, 2017.

The NYLFF is the premier marketplace for Latino Films in the U.S. The festival is a showcase for a diverse slate that spans all genres and formats like features, shorts, documentaries and experimental films. The festival will be from Oct. 11-15.

For those who are interested in submitting to the 2017 festival, submissions forms are available at www.NYLatinoFilmFestival.com. To be considered, all projects must have been completed by the deadline.

Projects other than English, but have English-language subtitles. Also, films cannot have been broadcast (TV or internet) or distributed commercially in the U.S. prior to the festival. Though there are exceptions for both short films and documentaries.

The New York Latino Film Festival was found in 1999. Recently, the New York agency sociedAD created the festival's new logo and the website was created in partnership with Gala Festival Engine.
