Rising comedy star Michelle Wolf is taping a stand-up special for HBO this summer

Rising comedy star Michelle Wolf will make her stand-up special debut on HBO later this year. The news was announced by Nina Rosenstein, executive vice president of HBO Programming.
The special will be taped on Aug. 12 at Skirball Center in New York. It'll be an hour-long show and it will be directed by Neal Brennan. Michelle Wolf will be one of the executive producers along with John Irwin, Daniel Bodansky, and James Dixon.
Wolf is currently an on-air contributor and writer for "The Daily Show with Trevor Noah." She also worked previously as a writing supervisor and performer for "Late Night with Seth Meyers." Other credits include writing for the 2016 Academy Awards ceremony and appearances on "Horace and Pete" and "@midnight."
