Winter is officially over (well, there are still many chances for snow and ice storms), so at the Abstract we scanned the web for a few recipes that work perfectly for spring! You'll find a snack, a good Easter recipe, supper for tonight, a side dish that is a meal on its own, and a weekend breakfast idea!

1. Basic Granola Recipe-Chowhound
The weather is getting nice and for those who love the outdoors, need a good snack to take along with them! I made this yesterday and it was one of the easiest and best homemade granola recipes out there. I used yogurt covered raisins and mini chocolate chips to mix in, but go ahead and think spring while creating your own granola.

2. Carrot Cake Cookies-Land O Lakes
Carrot cake and spring just go hand and hand. It's so popular that you can buy m&m's carrot cake flavor right now at the supermarket. So anyway, if you don't feel like cake, make cookies that are just as good. Bonus, this would be a great Easter recipe too!

3. Roast Chicken with Spring Vegetables-Food Network
There is nothing better than one-pan meals. This one is easy and a good way to use some seasonal veggies too.

4. Butter-Lettuce Salad with Egg and Potatoes-Martha Stewart
I personally love salads, so that's one reason why one salad recipe had to be on the list! This one is perfect for those picky salad eaters because it has two favorites: fried eggs and potatoes. That's right, though there is also lettuce, peas, and other components that make it healthier.

5. Spring Tonic Quiche
Quiche is a go to breakfast (or brunch) staple in my house, so this King Arthur Flour recipe basically is the perfect for this time of the year. Asparagus is the star of the show. Also, would like to note that this could even be a weeknight meal. Quiche is so good, you can eat it anytime!

Tell us in the comments on what your favorite Spring dish is and if you made any of these recipes!
