HBO renews the comedy series 'Crashing' for a second season

It was announced yesterday (March 15) by Amy Gravitt, the executive vice president of HBO Programming that HBO has renewed the comedy series "Crashing." The show was created by and stars Pete Holmes. It currently airs on Sunday nights at 10:30 p.m. EST.
Holmes also executive produced the show along with Judd Apatow. The eight-episode first season of "Crashing" began on Feb. 19.
The show tells the story of Pete, a sheltered suburbanite who married his childhood sweetheart and dreams of making it as a stand-up comedian. But when he finds out his wife is cheating on him, Pete’s world unravels, forcing him to reevaluate his priorities and plunging him into the deep end of the rough-and-tumble New York comedy scene. The show draws on Holmes' own experiences as a comedian.
"Crashing" also stars Lauren Lapkus and George Basil. Dave Attell, Hannibal Buress, Artie Lange, T.J. Miller, Rachael Ray, Jim Norton, and Sarah Silverman were among the notables that appeared on the first season as versions of themselves.
