Glenn Weiss will be returning to direct the Academy Awards

Producers Michael De Luca and Jennifer Todd announced on Feb. 8 that Glenn Weiss will be coming back to direct the Academy Awards. This is his second consecutive year of directing the award show.
Weiss has directed numerous TV events like 16 "Tony Award shows," the "39th Annual Kennedy Center Honors," "Peter Pan Live!," "Primetime Emmy Awards," "BET Awards," and the "American Music Awards."
So the 89th Academy Awards will be held on Feb. 26, 2017 at the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center in Hollywood. It will be broadcast live on ABC at 7 p.m. EST. Jimmy Kimmel will be hosting the event.
