'The Hungry Fan's Game Day Cookbook' is a must for foodies and sports fans

Looking for game day recipes for the Super Bowl or any other game day event? If your answer is yes, then you should be checking out Daina Falk's cookbook, "The Hungry Fan's Game Day Cookbook: 165 Recipes for Eating, Drinking, & Watching Sports."

Daina Falk grew up around professional athletes since her father was the legendary sports agent, David Falk. She created Hungry Fan®, Fangating®, and other brands that put both sports and food together for the ultimate fan experience! You can check out her website, HungryFan.com, here. Besides that, she also is a freelance producer and journalist who covered the Super Bowl and the 2012 Summer Olympic Games.

So now let's chat about her book, for those who are looking for healthier (and tastier) game day snacks, will find that Falk's book is worth your time. She doesn't skimp out on the flavor. What's also cool is that she shares recipes from famous athletes likeLeBron James, Boomer Esiason, Andre Agassi, and Dikembe Mutombo.

This is Daina Falk's first cookbook and it was released on Aug. 26, 2016. You can buy a copy on Amazon, which there is a Kindle edition so you can get the book right now and get ready for this Sunday!

The Chapters in the Book:
  • Starters
  • Soups, Salads, & Flatbreads
  • Sandwiches and Burgers
  • Barbeque, Grill, & Entrees
  • Sides
  • Desserts
  • Drinks
  • Condiment Basics
So as you can just notice that it's not just game day snacks, but everything you can imagine, even how to make your own ketchup!   Like said before it's healthy, but there are also plenty of decadent recipes too. Some of the recipes that you'll find in the book are:
  • Shepherd's Pie Quesadilla Bites
  • Cajun Shrimp Skewers
  • Bacon Hummus
  • Baked Potato Soup
  • Lobster Roll
  • Cracker Jack Corn Dogs
  • Nachos Burger
There is even a recipe for cucumber sandwiches, so they aren't just for tea parties anymore. Anyway, I tried out the recipe for BBQ Baked Beans and have to say that if you're tired of the can, try Falk's recipe! It had such a distinct flavor too and was really easy to make. They only took like 40 mins to cook and if I can remember, my grandmother's baked bean recipe always took hours!

Overall this book is great and there is enough variety in it. Daina takes the game day fare and gives a large boost. Oh, and since next month is Academy Awards, I'll even say that you can make any of these recipes she has in the book for that day too. After all, we love award shows on the Abstract!
