Sony Movie Channel launches on Freeview and Virgin

Sony Pictures Television has announced that its flagship movie channel Sony Movie Channel will launch across Freeview and Virgin on Jan. 10th. The Sony Movie Channel is currently on Sky 323, will now replace MoviMix on Freeview and Virgin as the two channels are consolidating to form one mega movie destination for film fanatics across all three platforms. 

The new Sony Movie Channel will launch with 14 channel premieres in its first month, some of those premieres include "Godzilla," "Twilight," "Once Upon a Time in Mexico," "The Mask of Zorro," "Maid in Manhattan," and "Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon." 

 Kate Marsh, the executive vice president of Sony Pictures Television's Western Europe International Networks division had this to say about the news:

Starting Jan. 10, you can find the Sony Movie Channel on Freeview 32, Sky 323, and Virgin 425. The premiere of the brand new channel will kick off with a monster marathon.
