getTV to re-air Dolly Parton's 'Smoky Mountains Rise Telethon' this Monday

For those who missed Dolly Parton's telethon that aired on Dec. 13, can get a chance to watch it on Dec. 19 at 8 p.m. EST on getTV. getTV is also the only broadcast TV network to air the program nationwide.

The telethon, "Smoky Mountains Rise: A Benefit for the My People Fund" was for the victims of the Gatlinburg Fires. More than 1,300 families were affected by spreading wildfires in Parton's hometown of Sevier County, Tenn. The Dollywood Foundation: My People Fund will provide $1,000 in aid each month, for six months, to every family who lost their home in devastation.

So when the telethon first aired it was a major success and drew million of viewers. The foundation  raised over $9 million in donations. A variety of celebrity guests (appearing both in-studio and video messages) were there for the event. Those that were part of it included Kenny Rogers, Hank Williams Jr, Amy Grant, Big & Rich, Katy Perry, Steve Harvey, etc.

Paula Deen, Todd Chrisley, Brett Young, Cassadee Pope, Raelynn, Lucas Hodge, Richard Matthews, were some of the celebrities that were on-hand to answer phone calls.
