Reboot of the 'Muppet Babies' coming to Disney Junior in 2018
Remember the "Muppet Babies?" If you were a child of the '80s, chances are you probably do remember the hand-drawn Jim Henson animated series. Well according to the Oct. 26 report from Variety, the show is getting a reboot from Disney Junior.
Production of the series has already begun and it's slated for a 2018 release. The new series will be a CG-animated revival and will consist of two 11-minutue adventures per episode.
The show will be a co-production between Disney Junior, Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media's Content & Media group, and The Muppets Studio. The executive producer of the series is Tim Warburton and Eric Shaw will be the story editor.
The original "Muppet Babies" ran from 1984 till 1991. The series aired on Saturday Mornings on CBS.
