It was just reported today (Oct. 4) by Variety, that Walt Disney Pictures has announced their release date for the live-action "Mulan" film. The release date is Nov. 2, 2018. They also announced the two writers that will be rewriting the script, those two are Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver.

It's not yet known who the director will be nor who will be playing Mulan. Though Jason Reed is attached to produce along with Chris Bender and Jake Weiner.

For those who need a refresher, the animated "Mulan" film came out in 1998. The voices were Ming-Na Wen (she did the voice for Mulan), Eddie Murphy, Miguel Ferrer, and BD Wong. There was also a direct-to-video sequel that came out in 2004.

So it will be interesting to see this live-action version and once there is word about the cast and director, the Abstract will be right on that news!
