getTV airing episodes of 'The Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour,' 'Cher,' and 'The Sonny & Cher Show' starting in September

getTV is bringing Sonny and Cher to their popular Monday Night Variety Block. So the weekly lineup is going to have some of the best episodes from the hit variety series, "The Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour," "Cher," and "The Sonny & Cher Show." This starts on Sept. 12 at 8 p.m. EST and will be airing every Monday after that. What's also interesting is that most of these episodes have not been on TV in over a decade!!
So the block will be kicking off with three weeks of "The Sonny & Cher Comedy" hour. The original 1971 premiere will be airing on Sept. 12. On Sept. 19, Jean Stapleton will be on the episode while on Sept. 26 fan-favorite Andy Griffith is the guest.
Throughout the year, "The Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour" will share its time-slot with rare episodes of Cher's 1975 solo series, "Cher" as well as the 1976 reunion series, "The Sonny & Cher Show." Some of the guests on the "Cher" show were Elton John, David Bowie, Bette Midler, The Jackson 5, and then-husband Gregg Allman.
getTV's feature episodes of "The Sonny & Cher Show" will include guest appearances by Betty White, Bob Hope, Don Knotts, Muhammad Ali, and Farrah Fawcett. The series was a stand out because of the way it presented Sonny and Cher. The two didn't mind referencing their divorce or using Cher's re-marriage and pregnancy in candid and funny monologues!
