BBC greenlights new Agatha Christie adaptations

Agatha Christie fans should rejoice once again! According to the Aug. 24 report from Variety, BBC has greenlighted 7 new Agatha Christie adaptations. It all really started because of how popular last year's "And Then There Were None."

So Agatha Productions will deliver seven new shows that will be airing on BBC One. This will be happening in the next four years. The first adaptation will be of the novel "Ordeal by Innocence." Though this isn't the first time the 1958 story was adapted. Anyway, it will be Sarah Phelps that will be adapting the story, which is known as one of Christie's own favorites.

The project will be executive produced by Hilary Strong and James Prichard for Agatha Christie Productions, Karen Thrussell and Damien Timmer for Mammoth Screen, and Matthew Read for the BBC.

"Death Comes as the End" and "The ABC Murders" have been the titles that were also confirmed to be in the works.

It was already announced earlier that there will be two different projects for Christie's "The Witness for Prosecution," which one of the projects has Ben Affleck directing and it's for 20th Century Fox.
