It looks like Brie Larson will be playing Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel! The Oscar-winner joined the stage during the Marvel’s Hall H panel, according to the July 23 report from EW. Along with Larson;  Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, the casts of "Doctor Strange," "Black Panther," "Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2," and "Spider-man: Homecoming" were all there for a Marvel family portrait.

Earlier this year at the 88th Academy Awards, Brie Larson won the Best Actress award for her role in "The Room." She's also known for her roles in "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World," "Short Term 12," "The Spectacular Now," and will be in the new movies, "Kong: Skull Island," and "The Glass Castle."

So this is just more exciting  news from the San Diego Comic-Con! What also is exciting is that Brie Larson will be first woman to front her own Marvel superhero movie.

"Captain Marvel" is slated for a 2019 release.
