'Agatha Raisin' TV series coming to the U.S. in August

If you're a fan of cozy mysteries then you probably have read the "Agatha Raisin" books by M.C. Benton. Like her "Hamish Macbeth" books, that saw a series in the '90s, "Agatha Raisin" has followed those footsteps.

It's Acorn TV  that has brought the series to the U.S.  They are the U.S. co-production partner of the pilot and series. The pilot episode will be airing on their site on August 1. The feature-length pilot is called, "The Quiche of Death" and Ashley Jensen stars as Agatha Raisin. She's known for her roles in such TV shows as "Extras," "Ugly Betty," and "Catastrophe."

After the pilot episode airs, a week later on August 8, Series 1 will be on Acorn TV's site for members to watch. Series 1 is eight episodes.
